The McLaughlin Whitewater Design Group brings decades of outdoor recreation leadership and solid engineering to our whitewater projects. Our projects are innovative, reliable predictable and above all, multipurpose: We incorporate whitewater recreation with water diversions, river restorations, hydroelectric projects, fish passages and more. Our engineers have been responsible for successful whitewater projects across the U.S., including the 1996 Olympic course on the Upper Ocoee River (Tennessee), Confluence Park (Denver, Colorado), Horseshoe Bend Hydroelectric Project on the Payette River (Idaho), the innovative design (patent pending) of the largest recreational diversion in the county on the American River (Auburn, California) the whitewater park in Green River Wyoming, and the Adventure Sports Center International (Maryland) — the most natural looking and performing pumped whitewater course in the world.
